Bespoke Door Solution for Robert-Penet E H Group Ltd

Dawes and Green were asked by Robert-Penet E H Group Ltd, specifically, Roberts Self Drive, to provide a highly, secure entrance door solution for their group offices in Benfleet, Essex. Dawes and Green were successful in their installation of a bespoke entrance door, which ticked all the boxes.
The brief was: To replace an old and unsightly communal entrance door with a modern secure product to include:

  • Special RAL Colour MOT Blue 5002 (corporate colour of group)
  • Steel Reinforced Door additional internal protection
  • Specialist Key Drop Solution behind door
  • Facility for Mail for offices
  • Keypad Access for communal door entrance
  • Key Fob Access

The project was completed in a six week period from enquiry to full installation, complete with a successful result to the whole brief. RAL colour, Reinforced Door Construction, Bespoke Key Drop & Mail Delivery.

The most successful solution of the installation has been the high security access control system.

We installed a Maco ZTA Automatic Locking System with a door mounted key pad and a remote control key fob, which has provided:

  • Automatic locking and door locks automatically when the door is shut
  • On Door Key Pad Access type a code to unlock the door
  • Remote Control Key Fob to unlock the door
  • Master Dead Locking disable the access control
  • Emergency Exit panic function on internal leverll

Weston Homes as part of Home Build, contacted Dawes and Green to provide a highly, secure door solution for a private development.The brief was: To replace existing entry door with a modern, bespoke secure product:

External: Special colour RAL 8011 matt (door sash) RAL 9016 gloss (frame)

Internal: Special colour RAL 9016 gloss (sash and frame)

Other technical requirements were:

  • 70mm door profile (thermally broken residential door)
    • Fully adjustable hinged door with an 18mm European Groove and with 67mm outer frame
    • The door leaf is of a hidden sash design
    • Supplementary profiles that allow you to increase the width of the outerframe by 80, 100, 120, 140, 160mm
    • The door is double rebated and incorporates a centre seal in EPDM combined with an efficient drainage system
    • The door has a double 24mm, polyamide bridge
    • Triple glazing with laminated glass internally & externally
    • Low thermally broken threshold combined with a weather bar and drainage facility
    • Double mechanical cleats on the outer & sash frames to achieve perfect alignment and maximum strength
    • Average thickness and maximum strength
    • Pressed Cill Section available from 80 to 220mm wide20mm threshold
  • 450mm 6016 brushed stainless steel door handle
  • Lever handle only internally
  • ZTA locking system
  • Automatic locking
